Rick has been a long time practitioner of martial arts. He has earned a black belt in Japanese Jiu Jitsu, as well as a blue belt in Korean Hapkido.
Biography
- Rick is known for his ability to streamline disparate data sources and complex workflows into scalable digital platforms that are highly intuitive for both front-end users and back-end teams.
- Suzuki has developed multi-source integrations, portals, platforms, databases, analytical tools, and full websites for several Fortune 500 companies.
- Rick joined WORX in 2012 as a Senior Developer and Project Manager – and has continued to lead multi-disciplinary teams that synergize the agency and the client partner.
- Prior to WORX, Rick was a Software Engineer and Software Manager for Gerber Technology, a corporation providing automated solutions to the garment industry. He was highly influential in the development of their large-scale 2D and 3D CAD systems.
- In addition to a lengthy career in development, Rick also founded a home improvement company.
- Outside of WORX, Rick enjoys a range of outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking, and golf. During the warmer months, he is a member of a weekly league at Portland Golf Course West.
- Rick has parlayed a love of Lego and woodworking into an adjacent interest: the building of model railroad scales.
- Suzuki regularly provides mentorship in and out of the office; for several years, Rick guided students in Mathematics and Computer Science through the School to Career program at Bolton High School (Bolton, CT).
- Rick earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Sciences, as well as a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Mathematics, from the State University of New York (Potsdam, NY).
- Rick resides in Portland, CT, with wife Judy, and dogs Yoshi and Busker.
