Jonathan Pico

Jonathan is both a technical and storytelling talent – serving a number of functions for the in-house WORX video team, and crafting stories that drive awareness and engagement across multiple digital platforms for client partners.
Key Crew Member
“Pico” – as he is called by fellow WORXers – is a key player in the omnichannel pre- and post-production of photo and video content for many WORX client partners, contributing on shoots and in edits.
Multi-Dimensional Designer
In addition to professional capabilities in the Adobe Premiere editing suite, Jonathan has a deep background in 3D animation and design programs like Blender, Cinema 4D, and Substance.
Personal Storyteller
Jonathan produced the story of his adoption from China during his Junior year at the University of Connecticut. The video has gained over 32,000 views on YouTube.
Biography
- Jonathan joined WORX in 2021 and is involved in multiple aspects of photo/video production – including planning, lighting, audio, technical requirements, filming, editing, mixing, mastering, and outputting content to broadcast, digital, and social channels.
- Jonathan graduated from the University of Connecticut (Storrs, CT) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media and Design, with a concentration in 3D Animation and Modeling.
- During his time at the university, Jonathan produced videos for organizations including The Mashantucket Pequot Museum and the UConn Biomedical Engineering Department.
- For one summer, Jonathan studied Italian film through the Sant’Anna Institute – basing himself in Sorrento, and traveling to Rome, Positano, and the Amalfi Coast. While in Italy, he volunteered at Prossimo e el Futuro, helping lead activities for people with mental and physical disabilities.
- Over the course of his undergraduate work, Jonathan was a member of the UConn Television Station (UCTV).
- Jonathan’s short documentary, The Adoption, was selected for the UConn Film & Animation Showcase at the Bushnell Center of Performing Arts.
- For many years, Jonathan served as a Summer Camp Counselor for the Bethany, CT Parks and Recreation Department. He has also volunteered for organizations including Homes For Our Troops.
- In his free time, Jonathan enjoys playing recreational soccer, rooting on Chelsea Football Club in the English Premier League, and teaching himself piano.
