  • Grant is regarded as one of the country's top branding and creative strategists – having won hundreds of awards in branding, identity, print, advertising, web, social, digital, television, radio, video, packaging, and environmental design.
  • Grant has developed successful brands and campaigns for some of the world's best companies – including AT&T, ESPN, FedEx, IBM, Iron Mountain, and Holiday Inn – as well as dozens of the top organizations in the Northeast.
  • Grant's work has been featured in publications such as USA Today and Sports Illustrated, and at events ranging from international conferences to the Super Bowl.
  • Grant is a noted public speaker – providing insights on branding and marketing for several universities, professional groups, and industry conferences.
  • Grant is an active community participant. For the United Way of Greater Waterbury, he leads the branding and marketing for the annual fundraising campaign; serves on the Board of Directors; is a member of Campaign Leadership Council; is the Chairperson of the UPSTARTERS® youth leadership program; and is a former Chairperson of the Communications Advisory Council.
  • Grant is a member of the Mattatuck Museum Board of Directors, and also serves on its Collections Committee.
  • Grant is also a member of Spectre – a nonprofit organization comprised of business people in the greater Waterbury area who quietly pool resources to help neighbors in need.
  • Grant and his then 12-year old daughter, Ella, co-chaired the 2018/2019 United Way of Greater Waterbury campaign, raising over $4 million – at the time, the second-highest fundraising amount in the organization's 80-year history.
  • In 2019, Grant created a new United Way organization called UPSTARTERS® – an ambitious initiative aimed at exposing youth across a 10-town region to the needs of the community, and getting them actively involved in the resource-raising. Last year alone, more than 2,600 local youth participated.
  • In 2012, Grant was selected to The 25 List by Connecticut Creatives as one of the state's top marketing communications creatives.
  • In 2011, Copeland was selected by Hartford Business Journal as one of its 40 Under Forty for "showing significant success in his career, a passion for what he does, and a dedication to community involvement."
  • In 2007, Grant was named one of Graphic Design USA magazine's People to Watch as "someone who is helping shape the design profession."
  • Prior to WORX, Copeland was a Partner of i2i Creative – a successful creative and design agency he co-founded at age 23, and merged with WORX in 2005.
  • Copeland earned a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art at Skidmore College (Saratoga Springs, NY). He was a four-year starter and captain of the Skidmore baseball team – earning All-Conference, All-New York, Academic All-Conference, and Academic All-American selections his senior year. During that year, he was also scouted by the Philadelphia Phillies.
  • A standout baseball and basketball player at Portland (CT) High School, Grant was inducted into the Portland Sports Hall of Fame in 2009.
  • In his free time, Grant is an avid painter; one of his oil paintings is in the Mattatuck Museum collection.
  • Grant lives in Guilford, CT, with his wife Meghan; daughter Ella; son Adam; and dogs Peanut, Champ, and Ollie.
