WORX Launches New Docuseries and Book on the City of Waterbury
What started as a casual conversation to memorialize the recent growth in Waterbury has turned into a three-part docuseries and companion hardcover book – created and produced by WORX – called 3x10: How Waterbury Rebuilt Itself as a City of Strength.
The long-form videos take the look of a Netflix documentary, and the 108-page coffee table book has been made available for purchase at Waterbury City Hall and the Mattatuck Museum, with net proceeds benefiting the Waterbury Police Activity League nonprofit.
Response to the docuseries and book has been overwhelming, including this endorsement from Jim Smith – Chairman Emeritus and former Chairman and CEO of Webster Bank – who said, “WORX are absolute rock stars.”
In December 2023, the 3x10 microsite won an American Graphic Design Award for excellence in Internet Design from Graphic Design USA magazine. This is the second national award for the Waterbury economic development work; in 2022, Graphic Design USA selected The Waterbury for excellence in branding.
National Design Award Press Conference
Waterbury Mayor Paul Pernerewski and WORX President/Chief Creative Officer Grant Copeland on how the docuseries has brought more attention to the marketing that's already influenced millions of dollars in economic development interest.
