Junior PHP Developer

This full-time junior web developer position includes hands-on development and management of all aspects of company’s web-based systems—multiple sites and microsites—to ensure strong optimization and functionality. WORX utilizes PHP CMS platforms, so experience in PHP MVC frameworks would be nice.  Ideally, we’re looking for someone who would like to be a “jack of all trades” in terms of web development: someone who wants to learn how to be a “full-stack” engineer and gain experience in Apache/Nginx, PHP5, MYSQL5, CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript and jQuery, and utilize standard version control and deployment systems.

This position requires the ability to organize content and troubleshoot issues, both client-facing and internally driven. You must have quick, accurate turn-arounds for your work and have an understanding of and ability to communicate how your work affects the project as a whole. You must have a desire to learn and have the ability to ask questions and learn from team members.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with the creative team on the layout, design and coding of websites and microsites and will take a hands-on development approach to all aspects of company’s web-based systems—multiple sites and microsites—to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
